PAOLO GALVANI | Co-Founder and Chairman

Paolo believes that no industry is safe from either the possibility or the reality of technological disruption. Having observed financial services lagging behind other industries, he saw an opportunity to rethink old models and reinvent the role of the wealth manager. With this in mind, he co-founded Moneyfarm to deliver digital solutions that could protect and grow wealth over time. Prior to Moneyfarm, Paolo co-founded, working in financial technology before it became known as FinTech. As the former CEO of Sella Capital Management SGR and the Deputy Head of the Private Banking unit, Paolo also brings a wealth of experience from both the asset management and investment banking industries.

GIOVANNI DAPRÀ | Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Giovanni believes that a true culture of innovation begins with the customer experience. As a lover of technology and finance, Giovanni co-founded Moneyfarm with the goal of finding the best solutions to protect and increase an individual’s wealth over time. Prior to Moneyfarm, Giovanni worked in the Global Market Division at Deutsche Bank AG. Giovanni graduated from Bocconi University with a degree in finance and has an MSc in Mathematical Trading and Finance from Cass Business School.

James is a founding partner of the private equity firm Cabot Square Capital. Cabot Square Capital specialises in providing growth capital and hands-on strategic resources to innovative financial service businesses and is currently investing its fifth fund. Prior to founding Cabot Square in 1996, James was responsible for the establishment and management of Lehman Brothers International Structured and Principal Finance Group.


Paolo has more than 20 years of venture capital experience. In 2000 he founded JupiterVentures, which has been one of the top quartile Venture Capital firms with over 6x returns. He has finalised several investments throughout Europe, where he acted as board member with a problem solving approach and with a particular attention to HR and Teams’ incentive plan. He is now managing director of United Ventures.


Co-CEO of Allianz Investment Management (AIM), which is responsible for steering the investment of premiums earned by Allianz insurance companies worldwide.


Vittorio has worked at McKinsey for the past 27 years and more recently as a senior leader of the European Banking practice and of the European, Investment Banking, Insurance and Asset Management practice. He has deep expertise on a wide range of topics including business strategy, organisation, organic and inorganic growth, corporate finance, risk management and performance improvement.


Paola is an independent director, angel investor and advisor in innovation. She has held management positions in multinational companies such as Facebook, Vodafone, eBay and McKinsey & Company. Since 2009, she has invested in technology start-ups with Italian Angels for Growth, the leading business angels group in Italy. Paola was also named as one of the 50 most inspiring women in European Tech in 2015.


Mario has spent 30 years in the wealth management sector. He was part of the team that designed and developed Banca Fideuram where he became general manager before going on to hold prominent positions at Allianz. Today he is an advisor and consultant to numerous financial organisation and chairs the Borgo San Felice in Siena.


Michael is an American economist, professor and commissioner for the Global Commission on Internet Governance. He received the 2001 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences, alongside George Akerlof and Joseph E. Stiglitz, for their work on the dynamics of information flows and market development.


Meir is a Professor of Finance at Santa Clara University and a Visiting Professor at Tilburg University in the Netherlands. He is the author of the award-winning book: What Investors Really Want: Know What Drives Investor Behavior and Make Smarter Financial Decisions.
